PAFA Spirit Squads Present Annual Pink Out

Pink Out Breast Cancer Awareness Event to be Held October 20.

PAFA Spirit offers girls in grades 3 to 8 the opportunity to participate on a Cheer, Flags, or Poms team in support of the Palatine Amateur Football Association’s travel football program. On October 20, PAFA Spirit will be holding their annual Pink Out as part of October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This event is held annually during the last home game weekend of the season.

During the Pink Out, girls wear something pink as part of their uniforms to raise awareness. This year PAFA Spirit will be providing each girl with pink glitter headbands and pink face stickers. All of the squads are also able to wear other pink items with permission. Some of this year’s additions include pink and black hair bows, pink socks and pink gloves.

PAFA Cheer is offered for girls in grades 3 to 8; PAFA Flags and PAFA Poms are offered for girls in grades 6 to 8. The goal of this instructional program is to help prepare girls for junior high and high school cheer, flags and poms opportunities. Older cheer and poms squads also have the opportunity to participate in competition events. PAFA Spirit registration takes place from March through May for the following fall season.
