Family Fun this Fall

From a family fall festival to family friendly theater, you are sure to find the perfect fall event for your children at Palatine Park District.

Palatine Park District offers a wide variety of programming that is perfect for the families of the Palatine Community. Mark your calendars now for these upcoming events.

FALL FESTIVAL - SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6
Palatine Park District presents the 15th annual Fall Festival on October 6 from 11am to 3pm at Palatine Stables, 1510 W. Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL  60067. This family friendly event includes pony rides, a petting zoo, horse drawn wagon rides, make and take crafts, riding demonstrations, pumpkins for sale, concessions, and arts and crafts vendors. This event provides a complete day of family fun and is attended by hundreds of people each year. Admission to the event is free; fees will apply for some activities. Dogs are not allowed.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND - MONDAY, OCTOBER 8
Palatine Park District presents Daze Off shows several times each year to provide a family friendly event on a day off of school in Community Consolidated School District 15. On Monday, October 8, Daze Off presents Alice In Wonderland at 10:30am. The production will be staged at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, a facility of the Palatine Park District, located at 150 E. Wood Street, Palatine, Illinois. Emerald City Theatre adapts Lewis Carroll’s classic story to the stage for the whole family to enjoy. Practical Alice follows a peculiar rabbit down his hole and finds herself in a magical, fabulous world. Join her for a tea party with the Mad Hatter, a croquet match with the Red Queen, and a wild journey with the Cheshire Cat. Alice is going on the adventure of her life in this adaptation perfect for family audiences. 

The show will be approximately 45-60 minutes long. Tickets are $6 per person, or $5 per person for groups of 20 or more. For tickets or more information, call (847) 202-5222 or visit the box office online at www.cuttinghall.org. Box Office hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm and the box office is also open one hour before each performance start time. There is a ticket order fee of $1 per order for phone and in-person orders, and a fee of $1.50 for online purchases. The box office does not offer refunds or exchanges; all sales are final.

ONE MONSTER AFTER ANOTHER - SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13
Palatine Park District presents Theaterworks performances several times each year. Theaterworks shows are designed for the whole family, and offer a comfortable atmosphere for young theater goers. On Saturday, October 13 at 10:30am, Child’s Play Touring Theater will perform One Monster After Another. The performance will be held at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, a facility of the Palatine Park District, located at 150 E. Wood Street, Palatine, Illinois.
One Monster After Another is a rockin’ rendezvous with witches, monsters, ghosts, and ghouls. All the thrills and chills of Halloween night are combined with music, mystery, dance and song in a rocking ride that will sweep you along. Children who wear their Halloween costumes to the performance will receive a special treat after the show, while supplies last.
