40 Parks in 40 Days - Peregrine Park

40 Parks in 40 Days is a series highlighting the parks of the Palatine Park District. Additional photos of our 40 Parks in 40 Days series can be found at www.facebook.com/palatineparks.

Peregrine Park is a 4 acre park located at 1015 W. Peregrine Drive in Palatine.  The park was acquired through a donation from Centex-Winston in 1970 which was formally completed by the Village of Palatine in 1984. In 1986, a $55,426 OSLAD grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources was used to develop the land. The park is a natural oasis consisting of a lake for fishing, access to the Palatine Trail, a 14’ hexagon shelter, benches, picnic tables, and wetland areas.
