Palatine-Inverness Crime Stoppers "Dine and Donate" fundraiser.

A fundraiser for the Palatine-Inverness Crime stoppers sponsored by Hot Dog Richie's in Palatine.

A fundraiser will be held for the newly formed Palatine-Inverness Crime Stoppers (PICS) on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4 at Hot Dog Richie’s in Palatine, 220 N. Northwest Highway.

The fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on both days; people simply have to mention Palatine-Inverness Crime Stoppers and a portion of the check total will be directly donated to help apprehend individuals responsible for crimes in Palatine and Inverness.

In addition to the donation from Hot Dog Richie’s, representatives from PICS will be on hand during both days of the fundraiser to sell raffle tickets for a number of prizes donated by area businesses. Raffle tickets will be sold 1 for $5, 3 for $10 and 10 for $20.

The non-profit organization is made up of citizens and business professionals from Palatine and Inverness. The group relies on private donations and fundraising efforts in order to provide monetary rewards of up to $1,000 for tips that lead to the arrest of wanted criminals.

Palatine-Inverness Crime Stoppers’ mission is to promote community welfare by partnering with residents, law enforcement, and the media to create and promote a crime reporting mechanism which both rewards reporters of criminal activity and protects them from retaliation, by maintaining complete anonymity.
