The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ‘Rockin’ the Blocks’ community block party in downtown Palatine in the BMO Harris parking lot at the corners of Brockway and Slade on Saturday, July 28th from noon until 11:00 PM. ‘Rockin’ the Blocks’ will include live entertainment, food booths, beer garden and a host of other activities. The event is free and open to the public.
Highlights under the main tent include Smokin Gunz, the headlining country rock band performing from 7:30 PM until 10:30 PM, and a pig roast by Brothers Ribs.
A portion of the funds raised throughout the event will benefit the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce scholarship programs. Lead sponsors for ‘Rockin’ the Block’ are BMO Harris Bank and Weber-Stephen Products, LLC, other sponsors include Northrop Grumman, Lamplighter Inn and Palatine Bank & Trust.
