FREE Community Movie Night on Sunday!

Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce will present the family favorite "The Goonies" on the side of the BMO Harris Bank Bldg. on Brockway in downtown Palatine starting at dusk on Sunday, August 19th.

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce will present the family favorite “The Goonies” on the side of the BMO Harris Bank building located at 50 North Brockway in downtown Palatine starting at dusk on Sunday, August 19th.

Movie night will start at 6:00 PM with activities including children’s art projects, games, face painting, a magician and a variety of kids activities. The movie will be presented at dusk.  The event is free to the public and seating is available on Station Street, just east of the bank building. Residents are encouraged to bring their families and their own lawn chairs.

“We are excited to once again offer a small beer garden and pizzas from Lamplighter Inn during the event this year,” stated event chair Liz Noe of ElizEvents, Inc. Noe continued “This is the 4th annual outdoor movie night presented by the Chamber and each year it continues to grow in popularity.”

A portion of the funds raised throughout the event will benefit the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce scholarship programs. Lead sponsors for ‘Rockin the Blocks’ are BMO Harris Bank, and Weber Stephen Products LLC, other sponsors include Lamplighter Inn, Northrop Grumman, Palatine Bank & Trust and the Journal & Topics Newspaper.
