Community Corner

Palatine to Host First Death Cafe

On Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 6:30PM to 8PM, Norma's Coffee Corner will host its first Death Cafe. A death cafe is an internationally recognized event that brings people together to drink coffee, eat cake, and talk about living and dying. The purpose of events such as these are to shed light on the concept that our lives are finite, and we'll all end up, sooner or later, succumbing to the same demise, yet we all have different views and ideas about this. Let's gather together in a non-judgmental, open forum to discuss this! For more information on death cafes, please visit www.deathcafe.com. This event is free and open to the community; however space is limited so RSVP to Kristen Garrett at garrekm@gmail.com or 224-265-3418. Norma's Coffee Corner is located at 189 W. Northwest Hwy, Palatine, IL 60067.
