National ASK Day, June 21, 2014

The Brady Campaign to End Gun Violence knows that all parents want their kids to be safe when they have a play date with a friend.  And they know that being a parent should not include worrying about whether or not your child will be injured or killed when your child plays in the home of a friend. To help reduce this worry, all parents are encouraged to ask: “Is there an unlocked gun where my child plays?”

It is a simple question and part of National ASK Day today, Saturday, June 21st. According to the Brady Campaign to End Gun Violence, we know that 1 out of 3 homes with kids have guns and nearly 1.7 million children live in a home with an unlocked, loaded question. So the next time your child goes over to a friend’s house, just ask the one important safety question that could save your child’s life.
