WESTCHESTER, Ill. (Oct. 3, 2013) – Chicago- based CD One Price Cleaners, (cdonepricecleaners.com) an industry leader and franchisor in the $9 billion dry cleaning industry, is giving back to the communities it serves through its 3rd Annual Coat Drive.  This year, the drive called Coats for Kids, will be focused on collecting gently used children’s coats and cleaning them for free for kids who need them throughout Chicagoland.

Each of its 30 franchise and company-owned CD One Price Cleaners locations in the Chicago area, will have a collection box for its customers to drop off coats from Saturday, Oct. 5 through Saturday, Oct. 19.   Each store will then clean the coats for free, readying them for those children in need to keep them warm throughout Chicago’s notoriously frigid winters. While this drive is focused on children, adult-sized coats will also be welcome.

“CD One Price Cleaners is honored to team up with the Infant Welfare Society.  We are dedicated to serve and support as many children as possible in the communities where we are located throughout the Chicagoland area,” says John Morocco, Marketing Director, CD One Price Cleaners.  “Although a small gesture, this is just one way that CD One Price Cleaners hopes to make a difference where we live and work.

“This has been such a successful event for us that we wanted to take it to the next level by helping children who are many times the hidden victims of our trying economy.  Last year we collected more than 1,200 coats for adults and this year we hope to surpass that number for the deserving children in our community.”

“For the third year in a row, the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago Auxiliary is pleased to partner with CD One Price Cleaners on the upcoming Coat Drive,” said Pat Danly, president of the Infant welfare Society of Chicago Auxiliary.  “Last year, we received over 1,200 coats for men, women and children that were put to good use by our patients in need.  We appreciate the support of participating CD One Price Cleaners that publicize the Coat Drive to their customers and clean and bag the donations.  We also want to acknowledge the generosity of Northwest Package Delivery in Forest Park that transported the coats to the Clinic the past two years.”

Again this year, CD One Price Cleaners is proud and thankful for the support it receives from a variety of media partners including WGN Radio, WTMX/The MIX, WBBM-AM and WYAZ/Clear Channel for all donating free radio time, and Lamar Outdoor which donates expressway billboards to support Coats for Kids.
