Services Planned for Elizabeth Truty of Palatine

Visitation will be held today from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, and a mass and interment are planned for Wednesday.

Elizabeth M. Truty, 90, was a long time resident of Palatine.

Services for Elizabeth “Betty” M. Truty will begin with prayers at 9:30AM on Wednesday, October 24th at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, proceeding to St. Theresa Catholic Church for funeral Mass at 10:00AM.  Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.  Visitation will be held from 4:00PM-9:00PM on Tuesday at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.

Betty was born on January 3, 1922 in Chicago the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (nee: Hilka) Deahl and passed away on Saturday October 20th.

Betty had been a very active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church where she been a member of the adult choir, Counsel of Catholic Women, the St. Theresa Leisure Club, the Resurrection Choir and was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Beloved wife of the late Frank Truty; loving mother of Norine (Carl) DeSilva, Mary E. Scott, Kathleen (Richard) Kohutko and Rosamond (Ross) Scoma; cherished grandmother of Joseph and Robert DeSilva, Michael, Richie, Christina and Kayla Kohutko, Miranda  and Adriana Scoma and the late Magdelene and Selina Scoma; great grandmother of Jordan and Rodney DeSilva and Archer Kohutko; dear sister of the late Richard E. and Benjamin T. Deahl; also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
