Visitation for Rose Guziec nee Bottari, 89, of Palatine will be Tuesday, Sept. 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home located at 185 E. Northwest Highway in Palatine. The visitation will resume at the funeral home Monday, Sept. 19 at 9:30 a.m. until the funeral Mass at St. Theresa Church at 10 a.m.
Rose was born Sept. 16, 1923 in Lucca, Italy and passed away on her 89th birthday on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012.
Before retirement Rose was fashion buyer for Marshall Fields for 25 years. Rose was also a member of Palatine Senior Center and a volunteer at St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly.

Loving wife of the late Chester S. Guziec; beloved mother of Scott (Karen) Guziec and Kathryn (Kenneth) Hermreck; proud grandmother of Krista (Pat) Emmons and Kari (Drew) Hall and Lauren (Scott) Landy; great grandmother of Cadel and Quinn Emmons; dear sister of Dominic (Mary) Bottari and Donna (Pat) Degan; sister-in-law of Helen Patuszynski; aunt of many nieces and nephews; special friend of many.
