Rita M. Cooney, passed away May 14, 2012. She is survived by her brother, John J. Sr. (Alice) Cooney and many fond nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary and brother, James Jr. "Bud" Cooney. Rita grew up on the south side of Chicago and was a graduate of St. Leo's Grammar School, Longwood High School and the Chicago Teachers College.
Funeral Information
Friends and family will meet Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1431 N. North Park Avenue, Chicago for visitation at 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
