Lew worked as a graphic artist, painter, and later as a high school art teacher for District 211. He was affectionately known by students as “Hubbs” and faithfully led his family as followers of Jesus Christ. His involvement in his church small groups, youth ministries and choir was strong.

Lew was an amazing husband, father, artist, teacher, mentor, and friend. "Some people have nice cars and houses, but I am grateful for three children and a wife who love the Lord," he said.
