Obituary: Gloria M. Moravec of Palatine

Gloria Moravec, 81, a 58 year resident of Palatine, was born April 21, 1931 in Chicago, and she passed away peacefully, Saturday January 19 at the Pepper Family Hospice Home, Barrington, surrounded by her family.

Survivors include her husband, George F. Moravec; children, Linnea (Phillip) Retzer, Ellie Wsol, Nancy Moravec, Georjan (Vito) Servedio, Jean Kote r and George J. (Rebecca) Moravec; grandchildren, Jennifer Retzer, Elizabeth (Cody) Preucil, James (Sarah) Powles, Melissa Powles, Kayley Koter and Brittney Koter; great-grandchildren, Tayler Preucil, Chase Preucil and Brielle Powles; sister, Marilyn (Gordon) Ziniel and brother, Robert (Jean) Radlein.

Gloria was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth, Lawrence, James, George, Raymond and Al.

Most of all, Gloria’s family meant everything to her.  

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 22 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway.

The funeral service will be held, Wednesday, January 23 at 10 a.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, Palatine. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
