Obituary: Gladys I. Paine of Palatine

Gladys I. Paine was a devoted animal care and animal rights advocate and an active member of of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Palatine. Visitation will be held Sunday and the funeral is scheduled for Monday.

Gladys I. Paine (nee Inglis) was born October 26, 1921 in Friockheim, Scotland, and she passed away January 17 at her home in Palatine.

Gladys was active in, and a longtime member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Palatine. She was devoted to animal care and animal rights.  

Surviving is her son, Jonathan S. Paine.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Paine; son, David I. Paine; parents, Walter and Jessie (nee Stephen) Inglis; and her sister, Margaret (late: Theodore) Clough.

Visitation for Gladys will held Sunday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, Illinois 60067.

The funeral service will be held, Monday, January 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.  The Reverend David Mercer will officiate.
