John Robert Kalinowski, Jr.

John Kalinowski Jr., passed away at home on Friday, March 7th with his family surrounding him.  John was born on August 14th, 1938 in Chicago, IL the son of the late John R. and Edna Kalinowski, Sr..  

John had served in the U.S. Army from 1957 until the time of his discharge in 1963.  Following his discharge John went to work for U.S. Steel and later he was employed by the American Medical Association and also Community Consolidated School District 15 of Palatine. John was also a long time member of Christ Lutheran Church of Palatine.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Jessie L. (nee Hill) Kalinowski; his loving children John E. (Joe Pellicer), Jason (April) and Joshua (Valerie) Kalinowski; grandchildren Andrew Graham and Harrison Kalinowski; brother Robert (Ruth) Kalinowski and the late Joseph Kalinowski; also survived by a cousin Alice Biela.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13th from 3:00PM to 8:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14th at 11:00AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 41 S. Rohlwing Road, Palatine, IL 60067.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of John would be appreciated for the American Cancer Society, 1114 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL  60004 or to Christ Lutheran Church.
