John P. "Jack" Donahue, 65
Visitation for John P. "Jack" Donahue, 65, formerly of Chicago and a Palatine resident for 38 years, will be on Monday, Feb. 21, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.
Born on June 22, 1945 in Chicago, he died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 in Arlington Heights after a short yet courageous battle with cancer.

He was a dedicated employee of McMaster-Carr Supply Co. for 35 years, where he formed many great and lasting friendships. Donahue had many passions including model trains, Mustangs, and being a problem solver. He took great pride in being "the world's greatest Poppy."
He was the beloved husband for 41 years to Mary Jane (nee Bennett); proud and loving father of Brian (Shannon), Drs. Marc (Sarah), Tracey (Kevin) Dolsen and Matthew (Michele); adored Poppy to 11 grandchildren; devote son of the late John J. and Rose Mary Donahue; and dear brother of the late William (Mary) Donahue.
