Prayers for Grace Sophie Szott (nee Stachura), 97, of Arlington Heights, formerly of Chicago, will be said at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 2, 2012, at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Funeral mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Dr. Palatine. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Visitation will be held Sunday, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, Palatine.
Grace was born January 19, 1915 in Sobieski, WI, and she passed away March 29, 2012 at Church Creek Senior Living in Arlington Heights.

Grace was a homemaker and then worked for Northwestern Savings and Loan, Chicago, for 20 years. She was a former member of St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Chicago.
Survivors include her son, Robert (late Victoria) Szott; granddaughters, Victoria (Michael) Fritz and Pamela (Michael) Sill; and great-granddaughters, Alana V. Fritz and Carissa C. Fritz.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Walter M. Szott; parents, Paul and Mary (nee Geron) Stachura; sisters, Louise Stachura and Helen Rojewski; brothers, Matthew, Edward and Henry Stachura.
