Edna D. Yost, 87

Visitation for Edna D. Yost will be held on Friday Sept. 30 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday Oct. 1, 10:30 a.m., also at the St. Joseph Home.  Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Edna was born on Feb. 6, 1924 in Dearborn, MI the daughter of the late Clarence and Maude (Cummings) Doyle and passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Prior to the retirement of Edna in 1987 she had been employed by St. Joseph Home for the Elderly as the business manager for more than 10 years.

Beloved wife of the late John Yost whom preceded her in 2007; loving mother of Lynn (Daniel) Herrick, Craig “John” and the late Bryan W. Yost; cherished grandmother of Alex (Kristin), Kevin and Emily Herrick and Brandon (Laura)  and Shawna Yost; dear great grandmother of Breyden, Jake, Tim, Joshua and Ty; fond sister Daniel (Evelyn) Doyle and preceded in death by siblings Virginia Riker, Betty Lou Marriott, Catherine Day, Clarence, Doyle, Ann Siddock and Marguerite Doyle; also survived by a  sister in law Tokue Doyle and many, many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated for Little Sisters of the Poor C/O of St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL  60067.
