If you're in or near Palatine, don't miss the 4th Annual Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival. You can see several films at Cutting Hall every evening through Sunday, July 28th except Wednesday, when there's a festival concert at Durty Nellie's. On Monday, my wife and saw four well-made short films and a delightful full-length movie. After each film, the director or cast members took questions from the audience either in person or over Skype.
