Recommendations for judicial primary elections

Matt Flamm, candidate for Palatine Township Democratic Committeeman, has published his recommendations for voters in the judicial primary elections this Tuesday, March 18th.

"As a lawyer, people often ask me how to vote on judicial races," said Flamm. "I usually follow the recommendations of the bar associations, especially the Chicago Council of Lawyers." Flamm formerly served as a member of the Council’s Judicial Evaluation Committee.

Following are Flamm's recommendations in contested countywide races and in the 13th Judicial Subcircuit, which includes Palatine Township:

For Judge of the Appellate Court (Gordon vacancy): Freddrenna M. Lyle

For Judge of the Appellate Court (Steele vacancy): John B. Simon

For Judge of the Circuit Court (Arnold vacancy): Alfred M. Swanson, Jr.

For Judge of the Circuit Court (Connors vacancy): Peter J. Vikelis

For Judge of the Circuit Court (McDonald vacancy): Cynthia Y. Cobbs

For Judge of the Circuit Court (Neville vacancy): Patricia Susan Spratt

For Judge of the Circuit Court (Reyes vacancy): Diana Rosario

For Judge of the Circuit Court (Hill Veal vacancy): Andrea Michele Buford

"My name is the first one after the judges (ballot position 191)," said Flamm. "Please make sure you keep voting until you’ve voted for me."

For voters who live outside the 13th Judicial Subcircuit, Flamm has published the ratings of the Chicago Council of Lawyers at www.mattflamm.org/judges.

I have met Mr. Flamm and will say that I see things much differently than he does on basic policy issues. However, I fail to understand what he has done in this article to warrant such harsh criticism.

He sounds like a gentleman, however, after reading some of the comments on his web site I will have to say he is spreading disinformation, particularly when it comes to Obamacare by accusations of the multitude of probalems as lies.

Thank you, Mr. Shafer. I appreciate your civility. I respect people who disagree with me respectfully. As for Mr. McCloud, your latest post is quite civil. I respect your point of view as well.

flammer's weasel words speak for themselves. He says he "usually" follows bar association recommendations, implying these left wing lunatics he supports were indeed recommended. But Janet Johnson does her homework and exposes that not only are two of them not recommended, they are also deemed "not qualified". Shame on you flammer! Typical obama supporter.

Same thing with Obamacare, despite massive problems, waivers, cancellations, costs, and still 45 million (Obama's number) uninsured, he says it is all lies. Probably a right wing conspiracy.
