Holiday Craft Fair Returns To Fremd Saturday, Dec. 10

The Viking Booster Club's 2011 Holiday Craft Fair Saturday will feature more than 280 vendors.

"Everything you would imagine [at an event like this will be there], from floral items to food items," said Martha Nielsen, co-chair of the event. Nielsen said there are 80 more vendors than last year and this year's fair will occupy part of the second floor of the high school at 1000 S. Quentin Rd.

Aside from vendors, student organizations will be holding a bake sale, running a coat check and the concession area also will be open.

Admission to the fair is free and it is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the boosters who support Fremd students.

In the past the boosters have helped buy new computers for the student newspaper, bought a new aquatics scoreboard and supported other student groups and activities.

"The money [the booster's raise] all goes toward helping Fremd students," Nielsen said.
