Don't Take Groceries For Granted

Grocery store in the suburbs.

All the morning TV programs are featuring chefs who are showcasing their "best of the best"  Thanksgiving recipes and the turkey buzz is in the air.

Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day at  grocery stores across the country. As we shop for goodies for our own Thanksgiving table, keep in mind the many people who aren't so fortunate. For those of us who are able to, pick up a few extra non-perishable items and donate them to your local food bank.Or make a donation to an organization who are providing turkeys for needy families or homeless shelters.

Everyone deserves to have a hot meal every day, but especially on Thanksgiving.

I know I'll be giving thanks for all of the blessings in my life as I warm my tummy with turkey and gravy and all the trimmings.

But there's nothing better to warm your heart, than reaching out and helping others during the holiday season.
