All I know is that we love him . Don't get me wrong, he didn't come without challenges, but this is true for many rescue dogs.
I am so happy to see him snuggle on the sofa against a pillow, or to watch him frolic in the hallway with a rawhide or a toy. He oozes happiness.
It's true what they say about rescue dogs. They really do appreciate everything more. Especially those tummy rubs on a slow morning as a new day unfolds.
