Palatine Halloween Trick-or-Treat Hours
In just hours, children will be out in force in the community dressed up as their favorite character. Here's a round-up of trick-or-treat hours, safety tips, warnings, and ways to unload some of that candy.
Happy Halloween from Palatine Patch!
Today is the day that ghouls, goblins, princesses and knights and other scary (and not-so-scary) characters will be out in the community and at your door, saying "Trick-or-Treat!"
- The hours for trick-or-treating for the Village of Palatine are 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.
- The village has provided a number of safety tips for parents and youths.
- Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has warned parents to check the sex offender registry to determine the safest trick-or-treat path for your child.
- Area dentists participate in the Halloween Candy Buyback Program, for those who don't need pounds of sweets sitting at home for the next month (or less!).
Enjoy the holiday, and make it a safe one!
