Allegro Adult Choir Presents Holiday Concert Sunday

The Palatine Park District’s Allegro Adult Choir presents their annual Holiday Concert, "Allegro Goes to the Movies," at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 at Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, 150 E. Wood St., in Palatine.

This year’s concert includes a mix of holiday favorites featuring medleys from Nightmare Before Christmas, Polar Express, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and White Christmas.

Members of the group include: Cici Bailey, Mary Bellino, Patt Carmody, Eileen Dominick, Maggie Dominick, Judy Greenwald, Carrol Hercules, Renee Horlock, Lori Kish, Genny Kokotas, Carol Lange, Thom Lange, Jackie Leo, Bernie Martin, Jenni Mieszala, David Miller, Dick Mitchell, Andy Platt, Marcia Rogers, Marilyn Russo, Denny Schackter, Donna Tom, Lindsey Weiss, Melody Wolf, Teana Wright and Mike Zawacke.

The Allegro Music Director is Brent Boyens. The accompanist is Vicki Sowinski, The group is managed by Diane Ramsden.

Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door. Tickets can be purchased through the box office at (847) 202-5222 or online at www.cuttinghall.org.

The box office is also open 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. through Saturday and one hour before performance start time. The Cutting Hall box office charges a convenience fee for all online transactions.

About Allegro

The Allegro Adult Choir provides an opportunity for men and women of all ages who have enjoyed singing in a group and would like to return to ensemble singing. Allegro welcomes experienced singers as well as singers with limited choral experience.

The winter session of Allegro will take place on Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Jan. 15 to April 30, culminating with the spring performance at Cutting Hall on May 2.
