A bed of nails, chair stacking, high-flying jump rope and human pyramids are just some of the incredible stunts that will be performed by the Kenya Safari Acrobats, a troupe of performers coming soon to Harper College.
The troupe will put on its latest show, “Lost in Africa,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4.
The show, a unique cultural experience combining African history with dance, music, comedy and stunt work, follows a tourist who gets separated from his group and must use instruments, props and stories to entertain the natives.

While the performers contort and limbo their way to death-defying stunts, some audience members will be asked on stage to become part of the interactive experience.
The Kenya Safari Acrobats developed their talent as children on the beaches of Kenya as a means to break free from an impoverished country. Today, these amazing athletes serve as Kenya’s artistic ambassadors, putting on performances all around the world including the White House and the Super Bowl.

The show will take place in the Performing Arts Center on the College’s main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine.
