Jaycees Donate Nearly $9K to Palatine Fire Dept.

The Palatine Fire Department received a great Black Friday gift when the Palatine Jaycees presented them with a check for nearly $9,000 for a new thermal imaging camera.

The Palatine Jaycees donated $8,995 to the Palatine Fire Department to purchase a firefighting thermal imaging camera. The check presentation was made Nov. 29 at the Jaycees' Christmas tree lot at 340 E. Palatine Rd.

The Palatine Jaycees provide development opportunities that empower young people between the age of 21 and 40 to create positive change. As one of Palatine’s foremost organizations for young people, the Palatine Jaycees have provided community based events and funding to Palatine for more than fifty years. As one of the largest chapters in Illinois, the Palatine Jaycees offer a combination of community service, individual development and social opportunities.
