Below is the letter:

Dear Friend,

Find out what's happening in Palatinewith free, real-time updates from Patch.

The Bridge has just received a $10,000 grant from an anonymous foundation to help children dealing with traumatic experiences.  The grant comes with catch:  The Bridge must first raise $10,000 from new or increased donations.  Our goal is ambitious.  We want to raise $10,000 in the next two weeks.

We need your help.  Please make a gift now at www.bridgeyouth.org (by clicking the donate button to the right of this article).  Your new or increased gift will be matched dollar for dollar by this foundation.

Fourteen-year-old Michelle’s father was being sent to prison on substance abuse charges, leaving her mom to try keeping the family together. Due to financial struggles and substance abuse, the family had moved frequently and Michelle changed schools often. Finally settled in one place, Michelle is able to attend counseling at The Bridge at an affordable reduced fee because donations support The Bridge counseling program.

The $10,000 we raise and the $10,000 grant will allow us to provide more than 200 counseling sessions for children like Michelle right here in the Northwest Suburbs.

Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,

Gregg Stockey
Executive Director
