"The Sandlot" featured at Free Community Movie Night

The Palatine Area
Chamber of Commerce will present the family favorite “The Sandlot” on the side of the
BMO Harris Bank building located at 50 North Brockway in downtown Palatine
starting at dusk on Sunday, August 18th.



 



The movie night will
wrap up the Chamber’s ‘Rockin’ the Blocks’ event which also included a
community block party held on July 26th and 27th. Movie
night will start at 7:00 PM with activities including children’s art projects,
games and a variety of family activities. The event is free to the public and
seating is available on Station Street, just east of the bank building.
Residents are encouraged to bring their families and their own lawn chairs.

“We are excited to once
again offer a beer garden and pizzas from Lamplighter Inn during the event this
year,” stated event chair Liz Noe of ElizEvents, Inc. Noe continued “This is
the 5th annual outdoor movie night presented by the Chamber and each
year it continues to grow in popularity.”

A portion of the funds raised throughout the event will
benefit the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce scholarship programs. Lead
sponsors for ‘Rockin’ the Block’ are
BMO Harris Bank and Weber-Stephen Products, LLC, other sponsors include Allied
A/C & Heating, Northrop Grumman, Lamplighter Inn Tavern & Grille, and
Palatine Bank & Trust.
