TesserAct Theatre Ensemble Auditions

Announcing winter show auditions!

Open casting call for non-equity community theatre in the
Northwest suburbs. We are currently seeking female and male leads as well as
strong adult ensemble members (18+) looking to be involved in our winter
musical.

Our auditions will be Sunday, September 8th and
Monday, September 9th starting at 6:30pm, with possible callbacks on
Wednesday, September 11th.  Performance
dates are January 24-26, 31 and February 1, 7-9, 2014 (no show on Super Bowl
Sunday).

Come prepared to auditions with a 1 minute comedic
monologue, 32 bars of an upbeat, contemporary song, and clothes to move around
in. A short dance combination will be taught. An accompanist will be provided,
so please no C.D.s.

Due to a contract obligation, we can’t name the show, but
here’s a teaser:

 Join us for an
award-winning recently released musical comedy, with a strongly featured
dancing & singing ensemble. 
Traveling from the office, to the morgue, to the bedroom, this fun
nostalgia piece has suspense and hilarity along the way.  It features an upbeat score, written by a
popular singer-songwriter.

Auditions will be held at the same place as the show-
Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center in Palatine, Illinois (150 E. Wood Street).

Rehearsals begin Sunday, September 15th with an
easy rehearsal schedule of Sunday afternoons and Tuesday evenings (no rehearsal
Sunday, December 29th). As a 501c-3 non-profit organization, we do
ask for a $50 participation fee, due at our first read through, to help off-set
production costs.
