Republican Organization holds First Annual Pig Roast Fundraiser

The Palatine Township Republican Organization (PTRO), the official Republican organization of Palatine Township, is holding their first annual pig roast fundraiser on Sunday, September 15th between Noon and 6:00 PM at Deer Grove Forest Preserve in Palatine.

The pig roast will be held at Deer Grove Forest Preserve on Dundee Road between Smith and Hicks Streets at Deer Grove East Grove 1 in Pavilion number 1.  A plate of roast pig, side dishes and a drink ticket is $15.00 in advance or $20.00 at the picnic for adults and $5.00 in advance for children or $7.00 at the picnic.  Tickets for soda and water will be sold at the event for $1.00 or $3.00 for beer.  Tickets are available at palatinerepublicans.org.

Bear fans will be able to watch the Bear’s game on a large screen television and children as well as adults will be entertained by a variety of games and activities. 
“Come out, visit with fellow Republicans and help us raise money to elect Republican candidates,” said Aaron Del Mar, Palatine Township Republican Committeeman.  “You will be able to talk with local and state Republican officials as well as a number of GOP gubernatorial candidates.”

Gubernatorial candidates Kirk Dillard, Bruce Rauner, Dan Rutherford and Bill Brady will be attending the event.  During the picnic a straw poll will be conducted on the people’s choice for governor.  A number of Palatine representatives will also be at the event.  Representative Tom Morrison, Senator Matt Murphy, Commissioner Greg Gosling, Commissioner Dan Patlak and Cook County GOP Chairman and Palatine Committeeman Aaron Del Mar will be in attendance.
