The Joseph J. Gentile Italian American War Veterans Post #2 Announces Pasta Party Event

ADDISON, IL -- The Joseph J. Gentile Italian American War Veterans Post #2 will host its annual Pasta Party Fun Night on Friday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m. The pasta party is being held at Alta Villa Banquets, 430 N. Addison Road and is the biggest event the organization hosts. It is being staged by over 50 members of the organization, many of whom have served in previous wars. The event is open to the public and is held to raise awareness and funds for the organization and its projects.

Guests will experience fine Italian dining, live entertainment, dancing and door prizes. Tickets are $30 per person and tables of 10 are $300.00. All proceeds go towards helping hospitalized veterans at the Hines Veterans Administration Hospital, where the organization has worked tirelessly helping veterans, and to many other organizations and families of veterans.

The Joseph J. Gentile Italian American War Veterans Post #2 was chartered on August 1, 1991 and the first pasta party was held in October 1993. The organization takes veterans on special trips and outings during the year and supports many other organizations such as Salute, Inc., Windy City Olympics, Italian Police Associations, Hines Hospital Early Childhood Center and many more. The organization also supports the Honor Flight of Chicago by providing WWII veterans’ jackets to each participating veteran.
