Palatine Jaycee Christmas Tree sale

The Palatine Jaycees will be hosting their 55th annual Christmas Tree Sale in the Palatine Park District Aquatic Center parking lot this Holiday season to raise funds to help individuals and civic groups throughout the Palatine area.

The sale will run from Friday, November 23rd through Sunday, December 16th.  Sale hours will be from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursdays and Fridays, on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.  The Aquatic Center parking lot is located on Palatine Road just west of Northwest Highway behind the Walgreens.

“This is my favorite season and being able to chair this project is a special treat this year,” said Will Hinshaw, Co-Chair of the project.  “We will be offering a variety of fresh-cut, long and short needle trees, wreaths and garland at special pricing.  Shoppers can choose from our selection of Scotch Pine, Blue Spruce, Balsam Fir, Douglas Fir and Fraser Fir in a variety of sizes at competitive prices.”

As an added feature to the sale, the Jaycees will be sponsoring a Santa's Mailbox.  Children will be able to mail a letter to Santa from a mailbox on the Christmas tree lot.  Santa will respond to any letter dropped in the box before December 14th.  Please include a return address on your envelope.

"We do our best to make sure our customers are happy,” said Sarah Harwerth-De Marco, Co-Chair of the project.  "We provide a variety of extra services for our customers.  Baling is available to make transporting your tree easier.  We have stands available that can help assure that your tree will stand straight and sturdy.  Santa will even be making a couple of visits to our lot this year.  He will be there from 10:00 AM until 1 PM on December 8th and 9th."
