Citizens for Conservation presents Gardening for Birds and Pollinators

Two excellent presenters will show how to make your yards attractive to birds and pollinators and how to keep them.  Judy Pollock is the Director of Bird Conservation for the Audubon Chicago Region and promotes habitat restoration and citizen science projects that benefit our local birds.  She will share her avian expertise through beautiful slides.

Kelsay Shaw will show us why native trees and shrubs are especially vital to nurturing birds and native insects.  He is a partner at Possibility Place Nursery where CFC gets many of its plant sale trees and shrubs.  Kelsey believes that by understanding the connections between native plants and native critters we can make our world a slightly better place.

The program will be held at the Barrington Village Hall, 200 South Hough Street, Barrington.  Free parking is conveniently located behind the building.

The program will commence at 10:00 am on Saturday morning but please come at 9:30 for coffee, conversation and handouts.

The program fee is $10 for non-members; CFC members attend for free as a benefit of membership.

Please RSVP to 847-382-SAVE (7283) or by email to cfc@citizensforconservation.org.  To ensure proper registration, please provide your name, phone number and program name.
