Ash Wednesday Service

Lent is a time of preparation for Easter.  At its core, it is about waiting...waiting for the cross, waiting for the resurrection, and anticipating our resurrection yet to come.  God doesn't need Lent, but we do.  It's patterns and flow taps into a deep human need, where through repentance, reconciliation, and redemption we find renewal for the work to which God calls us.
Ash Wednesday is the beginning of this season.  It is a moment, singular and timeless, in which we mark ourselves with Ash to symbolize the start of our Lenten lives.  These forty days, like those of Jesus in the desert (Matthew 4:4-11), are an opportunity to begin anew and join Jesus as he journeys both toward the cross and the inevitability of Easter. We hope you'll join us for this special time of reflection and preparation on Wednesday, March 5th at 7:30pm.
