Homemade Halloween Costumes: 3 Easy Do-It Yourself Costumes for Halloween

Three Quick and Easy Do-It Yourself Halloween Costumes.

Trick or Treat give us something good to eat! It’s that special time of year again, when you can dress up like your favorite super hero, run around asking strangers for candy, and guzzles down all sugary goods you desire till the tooth fairy comes-a-knocking.  It’s Halloween, and after eleven odd months of dressing like respectful citizen we get a day to show off who we truly are. Whether you crave to be a super hero, a peanut m&m or Spongebob Squarepants every costume is widely accepted.

You might have noticed new Halloween stores popping up all over your town, ads in the newspaper and emails of special sales, but who would have thought that a silly costume could cost so much? The average adult outfit cost between $40-50, purchasing one seems like a bit of a waste, especially when you realize that you’re only wearing it few hours, which leads to the next best idea, MAKING YOUR OWN COSTUME!

Below are a few simple ideas for you to create your own home-made costume:

Costume #1- Bunch of Grapes (Cheap and simple)

Retail price: ($29.99-82.90)

With a bag of purple, red or green balloons, a reef of leaves, a hand full of safety pins, some left over string and old sweater of matching color you can easily turn yourself into the sexiest piece of fruit at the party.

Costume #2- Atomic Robot (Cheap & Easy, with minimal assembly)

What you’ll need: 2 boxes, calculator, knobs, TV antenna.

Odd’s are that you have a few moving boxes lying around. You’ll need 2 boxes to complete the Atomic Robot effect, by adding a calculator, a few knobs, switches and antennas for ears; you’ll wow your friends and family with this simple custom. Top it all off with a few good robot dance moves, and moon walk your way to the party.

Costume #3- Under Aurmor Ninja (No assembly required)

What you’ll need: Under Aurmor long sleeve, leggings, face mask and black gloves.

Now, if you’re out of time and resources, the classic Under Aurmor Ninja can always come in handy. Dig into your laundry bin for a long sleeve Under Aurmor top, legging and face mask. (Most runners own all three). Gear up and be ready to sweat the night away. No matter where you end up, the snuggly insulated suite will be sure to keep you incognito.

Now go out there and have a safe and fun Halloween!
