Gary Seyring Running for Cook County Judge

Schaumburg resident Gary Seyring filed for the 13th Judicial Subcircuit Monday with more than three times the required signatures.

After a long, cold wait in line at the Illinois State Board of Elections office in Springfield Monday, Schaumburg attorney Gary Seyring filed with 3,092 signatures, three times the amount required, according to a press release.

"It is humbling to me that so many residents in the district have signed my petition," said Seyring. "While I know that gathering petition signatures is always challenging, I am thankful for having so many friends and neighbors who want to bring common sense and ethics to the bench in Cook County."

Seyring, a 39-year resident of Schaumburg, threw his hat in the ring for the Republican Nomination in Cook County’s 13th Judicial Subcircuit. The district includes all or part of Schaumburg, Hanover, Wheeling, Palatine, and Barrington Townships. In addition to practicing as an attorney, Seyring is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), giving him a breadth of experience that potential challengers may lack.
