The event will start at 6 p.m. with activities including children’s art projects and games, chair massages and a family baggo tournament hosted by the Palatine Jaycees, a press release from the chamber states.
The movie will be presented free to the public and seating is available on Station Street, just east of the Harris bank building. Residents are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
“We are excited to offer a small beer garden and pizzas from during the event this year,” stated event chair Liz Noe of ElizEvents, Inc. “Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase candy and Willy Wonka chocolates containing golden tickets for McDonald’s and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cones, as well as treats from other Chamber businesses.”

“The community art initiative presented by the Chamber for the past 2 years has been so well received; it was a natural decision to present the wooden ice chests this year. It’s proven to be a great way to engage the public with the Chamber,” stated Chamber Director, Mindy Phillips.
Ice chests are sponsored by local Chamber businesses and will be available for purchase by interested residents at a public auction to be held on Oct. 13 at the located at 360 South Creekside Drive, Palatine, the press release states.
Phillips continued “We encourage residents to watch for maps of the cooler locations and take a tour of the community.” Maps will be available at various businesses starting in mid-August and on line at www.palatinechamber.com.
Maps can also be found at the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce Offices located at 579 First Bank Drive, Suite 205 in Palatine.
