The League of Women Voters of the Palatine Area will host a meeting about what the federal government's role should be in education.

The League of Women Voters of the Palatine Area will is hosting a discussion on what should be the role of the federal government in education.

The meeting is open to the public.

The league is seeking to better understand the issues involved as a part of a national study intended to try to tap into the collective wisdom of members to develop a nationwide police for better government in the area, a press release states.

The meeting will be Thursday, Sept. 22 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Palatine Village Hall, 200 E. Wood St., Palatine.
