Why Go?:  Walk through downtown Palatine and visit areas that are considered to be haunted. The walk will begin with a short presentation at . Proceeds will go to the relief fund for Haiti. Reservations are suggested. Call 847-358-6091 for more information.

Why Go?: Enjoy outdoor entertainment by Jason, a local acoustic musician. Share some of the affordable food and drinks that are on special. Leashed and socialized pets are welcome too.

Why Go?: Visit the 27 vendors who will be selling their farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, organic meats and eggs, cheeses, spices, olives, pickles and much more.

Why Go?: The American Legion Family of Palatine, Illinois Post 690 hosts a delicious breakfast in the Clubroom. It is open to members and guests of the American Legion, The Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion.

Pricing: $6 per person.

 

7. The Spazmatics with Our Name is Jonas (Weezer Tribute)

Where / When: Durty Nellie's; doors open at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, show begins at 10 p.m.

Why Go? Experience The Ultimate New Wave '80s Show, by The Spazmatics, the band made up of a Physics professor, his brother and a couple of other teachers.

Pricing: $6.
