Library spends $55,000 and charges $50-$100 to use the rooms.
The Library spent $55,000 on renovating public meeting rooms. I was surprised to discover that our Library charges cardholders $50-$100 to use the rooms. Other libraries offer free use of meeting rooms and consider it part of the priviledge of having a library card. Also, the $55,000 spent on meeting room renovations is IN ADDITION to the $350,000 spent this year on heated sidewalks.
