Special COMMUNITY Event - hosted by BSA

You are invited to meet Ian Woodall, Accomplished Mt Everest Climber, and learn about Scouting in the Next Century - Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 ~ 2 - 3 PM at The Garlands Center for the Performing Arts.

Northwest Suburban Council, your local Boy Scout Council, cordially invites you to a special even featuring guest speaker and accomplished Mount Everest climber, Ian Woodall, as he shares his perspective on Leadership, Integrity and Trust.

Ian Woodall, member of the first South African Mount Everest expedition in 1996, returned to Mount Everast again in 1998 and 2007. He is married to his climbing companion and currently lives in Europe. He is traveling throughout the United States providing audiences with insights into personal inspiration and practical leadership.

This spectacular event takes place on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at The Garlands Center of the Performing Arts, 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington, IL. (off of US 14 (Northwest Highway) north of Main Street)

Ian Woodall has a fascinating story to tell about his experience climbing Mount Everest summits, not once, but four times, from both the south and north sides.

There are many parallels between Ian's story and the challenges that face youth today.  As the Scouting program enters its second century of service to our nation's young people, we want to you to scouting today and how it supports youth developed moral and ethical values that will guide them for a lifetime.

There will even be a book signing afterwards for those who wish to purchase one of Ian's books. Similar presentation s may cost $40 or more, but WE invite you and a guest to join us at NO CHARGE as long as you register by October 24.
