, 1775 North Rand Road, will host the pilot year of the Palatine Chamber of Commerce’s Business Expo.
The event Saturday, July 23, will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be held in combination with the vendors who sell their wares and products at the flea market.
“This is our first year, and our way of helping to promote our members by encouraging people to shop local and support Palatine area businesses,” said Mindy Phillips, Palatine Chamber of Commerce director.
So far about 30 businesses have signed on to promote themselves at the Business Expo, and Phillips said there still is room for additional chamber member businesses.

also will have a booth and will provide a
mini-obstacle course for children.
There will be a table to highlight shopping and dining in Palatine, including coupons and other special offers, Phillips said.
“We want to keep people eating and entertaining right here in
Palatine,” Phillips said.
The chamber has donated some space to local nonprofit organizations to feature services they provide for the community.
Participating charitable organizations will include Little City
Foundation, Countryside Association, Society for the Preservation of Human Dignity and the Palatine Rotary Club.
Booth space still is available to Palatine Chamber of Commerce

There will be free admittance to chamber of commerce member
businesses, and free-entry coupons for non-chamber members can be downloaded at

Booth proceeds will go to support the Palatine Area Chamber of
Commerce Scholarship Fund.
