Vision for Vacancy: Former Idols Location

The former Idols building was demolished in May of 2012. What do you think would be the next best use for this property at the intersection of Rand and Dundee Roads?

Idols lost its liquor license in November of 2010 and closed its doors shortly after, and the long vacant building was finally demolished this past spring.

Former Idols owner Michael Koumandarakis was convicted in 2008 of felony criminal damage to property and misdemeanor battery. Felons are not allowed to hold liquor licenses in the village

The property at 1601 N. Rand Road, which intersects at Dundee Road, has been barren since May.
