Patch Picks: Romantic Places to Eat Out for Valentine’s Day

  • Artistic Cuisine, 16 S. Bothwell St.

Open for a decade, this charming downtown Argentine eatery offers a wide array of
gourmet meal options, from duck a l’orange to jumbo crab cakes and
herbed goat mascarpone soufflé to herb crusted rack of lamb. Artistic
Cuisine also features an assortment of fine crafted desserts.

This spacious Indian eatery is a nice option for the Valentine couple who
enjoys foreign cuisine. Lal Qila features dishes such as Tandoori
Chicken, vegetarian Tarka Daal and chicken and lamb curries. Dinner
buffet available on Sundays, 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This ambient Japanese restaurant is lovely for a quiet evening out. Sushi Ai
features Nagiri Sushi Combo (sashimi) dishes and Sushi roll Combo
dishes; all chef selected and ideal for sharing between two.

Vince’s offers a comprehensive list of appetizers like grilled calamari, mussels and baked clams. At Vince’s, Valentine diners can select from a varied list of veal, fish and chicken dishes, as well as steak, ribs and pork entrees. Vegetarian pasta choices also available.

This popular Palatine Italian eatery, replete with three dining rooms and a bar area, is wonderful for Valentine celebrations. Vittorio De Roma carries an extensive wine list, and a host of Italian favorite dishes, from fish and chicken to pasta and personalized pizzas. Dinner is served from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Saturday; 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday
