US Nationals Snow Sculpting

Bill takes a look at the 2013 US National Snow Sculpting Competition to be held in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin from January 29 - February 3 2013

Every year for the past several, I have attended the United States Nationals Snow Sculpting Competition in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. The first year I went It was below zero and there was more than plenty of snow on the ground and the lake was well frozen over. Last year was the first year I have gone with no snow on the ground and tempratures that weren't very well suited for a snow sculpting competition over a four or five day period.

It appeared that we were headed to the same thing this year. With little or no snow on the ground last weekend, and forecasts for warmer tempratures this week, I was afraid there might not be a competition. But alas, the weather will cooperate with tempratures in the teens the end of this week, and mid 20's  to 30's maybe we'll see some sculptures after all.

So maybe I'll see you there this weekend. In the meantime, take a look at some of the previous years' artwork Here's a link to their website.
