Township candidates hold "Sprint" fundraiser

'Doing Things Better for Palatine Township' slate of candidates hold Sprint Across the Finish Line fundraiser

The ‘Doing Things Better for Palatine Township’ slate of candidates is holding their Sprint Across the Finish Line fundraiser on Wednesday, February 20th from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM at Splinters Sports Pub at 2070 North Rand Road in Palatine.

“We want to give the community one more opportunity to meet the slate of candidates before the February 26th Republican primary,” said Sharon Langlotz-Johnson, Palatine Township Trustee and candidate for Township Supervisor.  “Come out, meet the candidates that are looking to lead our Township and help us sprint across the finish line on election day.”

For a $20.00 donation, attendees will receive a free raffle ticket, be able to enjoy appetizers and discuss the issues facing Palatine Township with the candidates.  Attendees will also be able to participate in several raffles.

The slate is endorsed by the Palatine Township Republican Organization, the official Republican organization of Palatine Township, the Save Briarwood Committee and Aaron Del Mar, Cook County GOP Chairman.  The slate includes Sharon Langlotz-Johnson for Township Supervisor, Tom Kaider for Highway Commissioner, Kathy Allegretti for Clerk and Bill Pohlman, Art Goes, Kevin McGrane as well as Bill Huley for Trustee.

“The Doing Things Better for Palatine Township slate is running for office because for too long government hasn’t had the proper respect for the public’s tax dollars,” said Johnson.  “We understand that it is the taxpayers’ money that we are spending and as a result we must spend it wisely and conservatively.”
