Sen. Mark Kirk, County Republican Chair To Speak At PTRO Meeting

The Palatine Township Republican Organization will feature Senator Mark Kirk and Republican Party Cook County Chairman Sig Vaznelis at their regular monthly meeting on Saturday, November 5th

The Palatine Township Republican Organization (PTRO), the official Republican organization of Palatine Township, will feature U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk and Republican Party Cook County Chairman Sig Vaznelis at their regular monthly meeting.

The meeting is free and open to the public on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 9 a.m. with doors opening at 8:30 a.m. at the PTRO office at 839 N. Quentin Road in Palatine.

“Our meeting will feature two speakers, Senator Kirk and Chairman Vaznelis,” said Aaron Del Mar, Palatine Township Republican Committeeman. “Kirk will update us on important world events such as the death of Muammar Gaddafi, explain why our state’s debt is unsustainable and detail his accomplishments as Illinois’ fiscally-conservative US Senator. Chairman Vaznelis will be sharing his plan to build a stronger Republican Party in Cook County in order to elect Republicans in this Democrat stronghold.”

Vaznelis is attending this PTRO monthly meeting as well as various other Republican township meetings to listen to the concerns and ideas of Republican precinct captains and volunteers. Once his fact finding is complete, he has promised to implement those thoughts in his Cook County GOP action plan. “This is an excellent opportunity for Palatine Republicans to share their ideas and concerns with the head of the Cook County party,” Del Mar said.

Founded in 2010 by newly elected Palatine Township Republican Committeeman Aaron Del Mar, PTRO coordinates the Republican Party’s efforts in the township.  Led by Del Mar, Committeewoman Sharon Langlotz-Johnson and President Collin Corbett, PTRO promotes the foundational principles of the Republican Party, namely fiscal responsibility, personal accountability and limited, transparent government, and works to elect Republican candidates who espouse those principles.
