Schaumburg Jaycees Hold Annual Christmas Wish Tree

The Schaumburg Jaycees are holding their 26th annual Christmas Wish Tree at 160D South Roselle Road in Schaumburg to collect gifts for the less fortunate children of Schaumburg.

The Schaumburg Jaycees are holding their 26th annual Christmas Wish Tree beginning on Saturday, November 26th and running through Sunday, December 11th at 160D South Roselle Road in Schaumburg to collect gifts for the less fortunate children of Schaumburg.

“As in years past, we look forward to sharing the Holiday spirit with residents of our community as we come together to shop for less fortunate children in Schaumburg Township,” said Jennifer Sheridan, project co-chair.  “Stop by the Wish Tree to select an ornament containing the wishes of a child, do a little shopping and brighten your own Holidays by making a difference in the life of a child.  We would also like to thank MidAmerica L.L.C. for their continued support on this project.”

The Wish Tree will be located at 160D South Roselle Road in Schaumburg which is next to Bonefish Grill.  Opening day will be Saturday, November 26th.  The project will run through Sunday, December 11th.  The hours of operation are Fridays 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, Saturdays 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM and on Sundays from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

“This year we will also be accepting donations online,” said Christie Martin, 2011 Schaumburg Jaycee President.  “You can email us at SchaumburgWishTree@gmail.com and request a child’s name or you can donate through PayPal.  For more information on how to donate through PayPal go to our site at www.schaumburgjaycees.org/paypal.asp.”

Every year, the Schaumburg Jaycees conduct numerous programs to serve the community and accumulate funds to donate back into the community through their Major Community Donations program.  Included in these projects is the Septemberfest beer booth, Thanksgiving food baskets, Christmas wish tree, Christmas food baskets and other projects that benefit the community and help raise funds.
